MAG saves lives and builds futures by working with others to reclaim land contaminated with the debris of conflict, to reduce the daily risk of death or injury for civilians, and to create safe and secure conditions for development. MAG shared the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize as a founding member of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines for our work to ban landmines. Our vision is a safe and secure future for men, women and children affected by armed violence and conflict.
We are seeking an exceptional Fundraising and Communications Assistant to join our dynamic Fundraising and Communications teams. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain a wide variety of experience in the busy fundraising and communications department of a Nobel Peace-Prize co-laureate international charity.
Based in our Manchester HQ, this will be a varied and challenging role where you will provide excellent administrative support to MAG’s fundraising and communications projects by maintaining donor records, dealing with queries, ensuring consistent use of key messaging, and supporting the management of MAG’s social media channels and website. You will be our friendly first port of call for supporters, the public and the media.
You will have previous experience of administration work in a busy, customer-facing environment, ideally a charity, and have the organisational skills to manage a diverse and changing workload. An excellent communicator and team player, able to develop relationships with supporters, you will have the technical skills to manage a customer database and to be able to produce print and digital design work. You will also recognise that good administrative support can make a real difference to MAG’s success in saving lives and building futures.
Training and professional development opportunities are available for the right candidate.
