MAG Vacancy: Technical Field Manager, Southeast Asia
The total salary package for this position is£51,004- £57,172per annum including basic salary and cost of living allowance.

About MAG in Southeast Asia:
MAG supports the development of countries emerging from conflict by finding and destroying the explosive remnants of war, so that communities can raise their families and pursue their livelihoods in a safe and secure environment, free from fear of death or injury. Some of the countries we are currently working across in Southeast Asia are Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. We are anticipating a number of Technical Field Manager roles to come available over the coming months in these programme.
About the role:
Our Technical Field Managers are the core of our work and actively manage and lead our teams of national staff to safely implement our life saving BAC and EOD projects. Locations of roles can vary, with some being located in main provincial town where there are many amenities available and others in remote areas, working in contexts away from home comforts. This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in MAG’s life-saving work on a day-to-day basis, where the impact on the local communities is very real, and rewarding.
About you:
You must be qualified to the equivalent of EOD level 3, with significant experience in the technical and operational management of UXO and Cluster Munitions clearance operations, including task planning and prioritisation, writing and reviewing SOPs, assessing clearance methodology and reviewing operational structures. You will also be experienced in leading teams involved in BAC / EOD operations, with proven experience in the disposal of Aircraft Dropped Bombs and the use of low order techniques. Previous experience of working for a similar organisation, either in the humanitarian or commercial sector is essential. Furthermore, you will have previously delivered EOD 1, 2 and 3 training courses, and be able to mentor and capacity build national staff. You will have a good understanding of information management systems and data analysis to improve operational planning, setting priorities and monitoring of clearance activities.
